A winding track through golden grassland beneath dramatic clouds

Privacy Policy

This notice explains how DBO Fortress handles personal information in connection with this website, enquiries and community and partnership correspondence. It describes the current website’s functions and the choices available to you.

Last updated: 26 October 2026

Who is responsible and how to contact us

DBO Fortress is responsible for deciding how information received through its website contact channels is used. For privacy questions or requests, contact david.bosire312@gmail.com. Our published location is Nairobi, Kenya. Please describe your request without sending unnecessary identification or sensitive information.

Information you provide

If you email us, we receive the contact details, message contents and attachments you choose to send. Community and partnership correspondence may include your full name, email address, skills, interests and availability. Please avoid sending sensitive information or information about other people unless it is necessary and you have authority to share it.

How the community enquiry form works

The community and partnership form validates your full name, email and contact consent in your browser, then opens a prepared draft in your email application. The form does not store the entered information in a website database or automatically send it. We receive the information only if you send the email. Your email provider handles the draft and transmission under its own privacy terms.

Technical information and website delivery

Hosting and security providers may process information such as an IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, timestamps and error or security logs to deliver and protect the website. Email providers process correspondence as part of delivering and storing messages. We do not operate visitor accounts, automated profiling or investment transactions through the website.

Why information is used

We use relevant information to respond to enquiries, discuss potential business or community involvement, assess volunteering interest, manage correspondence, protect the website and address legal obligations or disputes. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, processing may rely on your consent, steps you request before an agreement, a legal obligation or legitimate interests in responding to genuine enquiries and operating a secure website.

Consent and contact preferences

Enquiry consent covers replying to and discussing your community or partnership interest. It is not consent to unrelated marketing. You may withdraw consent or ask us to stop further contact by emailing us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal, and information may still need to be retained for another lawful purpose.

Cookies and browser storage

The website code does not set optional analytics, advertising or personalisation cookies and does not use browser storage to track visitors. A hosting or authentication service may use technologies needed for access, delivery or security under its own notices. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking essential access technologies may affect availability. If optional tracking is introduced, this notice and any required choices will be updated before it is used.

Sharing and international services

Information may be processed by the hosting and email providers needed to deliver the site and correspondence. Relevant information may also be shared with professional advisers or authorities where necessary and lawful. Service providers may operate outside Kenya. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, the relevant processing must have an appropriate lawful transfer basis. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and security

We retain correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary for its purpose, related legal requirements and the handling of disputes. The period depends on the enquiry, any resulting relationship and applicable obligations; there is no single retention period for every message. We use reasonable access and security measures appropriate to the information, but no website or email transmission is completely secure.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on applicable law, you may request information about processing, access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, or object to certain uses. You may also withdraw consent where it is the basis for processing. Rights may be subject to legal conditions. Contact us first if you wish to raise a concern; you may also complain to Kenya’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner or another competent authority.

Children and community information

The website and community and partnership form are intended for adults. Do not submit personal information about children or vulnerable people through a general website enquiry. Community participation involving children or care settings must be arranged through the responsible teams with appropriate privacy, dignity and safeguarding measures.

External links and updates

External websites and your email provider have their own privacy practices. This notice applies to information handled in connection with DBO Fortress’ website contact activities. We may update it when website functions, service arrangements or legal requirements change; the revision date below identifies this version.
